Troy Burne Golf Village is more than just a golfing community. The residents have many social activities to choose from to get to know other neighbors. One of the most attended is the Recipe Club. This is NOT a gourmet cooking gathering with formal sit down meals. The Troy Burne Recipe Club monthly meetings are hosted by rotating volunteers who open their home and select a food or event theme. Examples of recent themes are: International Appetizers, Apple Fest, Mardi Gras, Chocolate Lovers, Chili and Fixings, and Fall Harvest Favorites. The hostess supplies beverages, but doesn’t even cook! A few of the attendees volunteer to make an item related to the theme night and provide a recipe. The evening is spent sipping and sampling while mingling to enjoy the comradary of neighbors. Occasionally, the group opens the night for a spouse to attend for a couple’s event. Either way, it opens homes, gets neighbors introduced, and allows for great Troy Burne Golf Village neighbors time to enjoy one another’s company.
